Hello friends! If you saw my Cyber Monday post than you may have noticed some changes around here. I’ve completely revamped and relaunched my site. This has been several months in the making and I’ve been working diligently with an awesome web designer Lydia to bring this new and improved site to life. I wanted to talk a little bit about my thought process behind it and what it means to me.
I needed a fresh start
I originally launched Life’sKandy in January 2020. I had been toying with the idea for awhile and finally decided to go for it. Well, we all know how that year turned out. Covid hit, we all spent months in quarantine, and my plans for that year went out the window. Personally and professionally the last few years have been a doozy. I switched jobs, my only living grandparent passed away, and I had some really painful personal relationship changes. Needless to say the motivation to blog just wasn’t there .
My site didn’t feel like me anymore
The person I was when I originally launched Life’s Kandy and the person I am now feel world’s away. People have always told me that when you turn 30 things start to click and you really start to come into your own. I didn’t really understand it until I turned 30. I knew I was still committed to this part of my life, but things needed to change. I wasn’t happy with the design anymore. I felt like I had outgrown it, and it didn’t reflect who I am now.
Bringing my redesign to life
As I mentioned earlier, this time around I worked with a web designer. I stumbled across her on TikTok, and immediately knew she would be able to help me bring my vision to life. I’m a big believer in trusting your gut, and I wasn’t wrong. My site feels like me now. Beautiful, colorful, and welcoming. I wanted to create a happy place I was excited about and motivated me to create. Other than the redesign some new additions are a shop section so you can by the things I rave about. Sign up for my newsletter to get exclusives ( I won’t spam you, I promise!) You can also access my socials and subscribe to my new posts. I’m really happy with how this turned out, and I promise the best is yet to come.
